What is the Original Beyond Thickburger® and Beyond Spicy BBQ Cheeseburger?

The Original Beyond Thickburger® and Beyond Spicy BBQ Cheeseburger are made with a Beyond Burger® patty from the folks at BEYOND MEAT®. The Beyond Burger® is a plant-based burger designed to look, cook, and satisfy like beef that is made without GMOs, soy, and gluten. It has all the juicy, meaty deliciousness of a traditional burger and packs 20 grams of plant-based protein.

When compared to a 4oz 80/20 beef burger, the Beyond Burger® has more protein and iron, with less saturated and total fat.

What is the Beyond Breakfast Sausage™?

The Beyond Breakfast Sausage™ is made from simple, plant-based ingredients without GMOs, soy or gluten and is designed to deliver the delicious taste and texture of traditional pork breakfast sausage. Peas, mung beans, sunflowers and brown rice provide the protein. Coconut oil and potato starch ensure mouthwatering juiciness and bite.

Compared to traditional pork sausage patties, Beyond Breakfast Sausage™ has more protein and iron with less sodium, saturated fat and total fat.

Where does the protein come from?

The primary source of protein in the Beyond Burger® and the Beyond Breakfast Sausage™ patties comes from peas. All Beyond Meat® products are made without GMOs, soy, gluten or artificially produced ingredients.

Are the Original Beyond Thickburger®, the Beyond Spicy BBQ Cheeseburger and Beyond Breakfast Sausage™ 100% vegan?

The Beyond Meat® patties are 100% plant-based, but as they are prepared in a shared kitchen, on shared cooking surfaces with meat products, the offerings at Hardee’s are not 100% vegan or Certified Vegan.

The Original Beyond Thickburger® has American cheese and mayonnaise (contains egg product), which are not vegan. For a plant-based friendly build, guests can request no American cheese or mayonnaise.

The Beyond Spicy BBQ Cheeseburger has pepper-jack cheese and onion rings (contains egg product) which are not vegan. For a plant-based friendly build, guests can request no pepper-jack cheese or onion rings.

The Beyond Sausage® and Egg Biscuit is served with egg on a buttermilk biscuit, neither of which are vegan. For plant-based friendly build, guests can request no egg on a flour tortilla. The tortilla is considered vegan-friendly, but there could be cross-contamination with eggs and butter when being prepared.

Are these products only for vegans and vegetarians?

No! Beyond Meat products are for anyone who loves burgers and sausage, whether you’re a vegan, vegetarian, flexitarian or carnivore. Beyond Meat® builds meat directly from plants so consumers can eat what they love, without compromise.

Can I get the Beyond Burger® or Beyond Breakfast Sausage™ on any Hardee’s menu item?

YES! You can Go Beyond® on any of your favorite Hardee’s sandwiches by substituting the Beyond Burger® patty in place of the burger or chicken. (Go Beyond® for an additional price per patty.) Additionally, you can substitute the Beyond Breakfast Sausage™ for an additional cost per patty.
